Question #1: My boyfriend wants to change me. What do i do?
My boyfriend loves me a lot, and he only wants me to happy and he feels he can do that by changing me. I am on the heavy side and he wants me to lose weight as he himself is a fitness fanatic and LOVES to exercise and wants me to be the same. He wants me to be a UK Size 12 but the truth is, I don't want to be that slim because I'm so used to being on the heavy side. The lowest I'd go is size 14. I don't tell him this though because he is looking forward to me being a size twelve.
Another thing is religion. I'm NOT a religious person at all, and as a born again christian he wants me to be a christian too, but I do not want to go down the religious road as it goes totally against my beliefs. I totally respect his religious belief, but he feels it's okay to make fun of mine and as someone who is passionate about my beliefs, his constant mocking almost led me to tears. However he did feel guilty afterwards.
I know he loves me a lot, and I want to be good enough for him, but I don't know if i'm willing to change too much. His friends keep asking him why he's going out with a "fat girl"and he defends me but when he told me what his friends have said it hurt me a lot :/
What do i do guys?
I don't mind losing weight but I don't want to be a UK Size 12.
There are men out there who appreciate a heavy set girl.
The last girl he was with was heavy set.
And I won't dump him cos other than that he treats me like a princess.
Thank you, Miss Lighaan :)
Thanks A StAh,
LOOOOOOOOOL!! bobydob, you really made me laugh. Thanks, anyway. I feel like sayin that to him tbh
Thanks, Christina De La Rosa. Nice name :D x
Thanks, Valerie :D

Question #2: Will this be enough exercise?
I've been on a bit of a fitness, healthy eating kick lately in order to try and lose weight and it seems to be working. However I start back at university next week and it's an important year, and I'm frightened that I'm not going to have enough time to continue with my good work!
I have worked out that if I manage my time effectively I could get in a workout of a ten minute warm up, around ten-fifteen minutes of high intensity aerobics, a five minute toning session and a cool down every day. Is this enough exercise to continue with my weight loss or should I be trying to fit in more?
Is it better to try and exercise every day for a relatively short period or 3-4 times a week for longer periods?

Question #3: Help with fitness schedule?
I am free 24/7. I have a Club 24 fitness center membership (work out gym).
I'm looking to get into TOP physical condition by November 23rd.
In 2 minute sessions, I know that I can do:
-50 legitimate push ups in 2 minutes
-55 sit-ups in 2 minutes
-8 pull-ups
and I can run 1.5 miles in 11:45... So I may need to work on my running time.
I'm looking to wake up at 8am, and start working out (full body) from 9am-10am.. Go home, eat lunch and relax... when should I go back again to start working out after I eat lunch?
How often should I be conditioning my body?
All advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Don't suggest getting a job. I am not concerned about money.
Though I was thinking of volunteering at the local fire station since I know people there and I am almost 19.
Just getting ready for basic training. Increasing strength & stamina

Question #4: My roommate said something offensive about my boyfriend, how do I confront her?
My roommate were talking about my new boyfriend and he is Asian and she was like, "So, have you seen his eggroll yet?" Then she laughed. I just got up and left the room - she knows I am pissed!
She keeps making these stupid racist comments and I am tired of it. Other than this, we get along pretty well.
What should I stay to her when she gets back from the fitness center tonight? Thanks.

Question #5: Need help with weight gain?
I've struggled to keep my weight UP recently. I had lost a lot of weight and found myself ultimately at 138 lbs (I'm an 18 year old male). I had frequent doctor appointments regarding my weight. I am now at college and I am eating more food than I used to. I am also going to the fitness center here everyday and doing a lot of working out and cardio. When I was home, I ran very often but never worked out. So working out is relatively new. My problem is that I am seeing a very rapid weight gain now. It is fat too. I've seen my stomach gain several inches in the past 2 weeks and I've gained about 10 lbs since getting here. What is going on???
But I am gaining fat. I did not want to gain fat, I wanted to gain weight in the form of muscle. Why is this happening?
@Fatima
Ok, thank you very much! That's the kind of answer I needed (:

Question #6: I am a male, and am going "spinning". What should I expect?
I am not really sure how it happened, but a bunch of girls I hang out with talked me into going to their spinning class with them. I go to the gym everyday, and don't lift weights, I usually run ~ 4 miles a day. I am not gay and the girls where upfront about the fact that there will probably be little to no other guys there, but still =/. The instructor is a guy...
What should I expect? Any stretches I should do before going in? I know a lot of girls like those group fitness classes, because there is often a level of safety because there are usually no guys there. Is it going to be that way in spinning?

Question #7: Does this machine help you lose weight?
Question #8: Physical Fitness - Situps?
I just started working out. I have to pass a Physical Fitness Test for a new job. I've lead a sedentary lifestyle for most of my life. I am 33, 5"2, 140lbs - Female. My 1st day of working out I was able to do 27 situps in a minute. My 2nd day, I was only able to do 12.. What gives? I am still sore but shouldn't I be doing more than the 1st day or at least the same?!
Question #9: Complex patterns of thought, or plain out crazy?!?
I, not too long ago, was very motivated to do things despite any setbacks, had great interest in a variety of things and was keen on being the best human I could possibly be to others... and thus, there was action to prove for it.
For instance, I was so interested in improving my fitness. I loved the idea and feeling of being fit and of taking action towards getting something I wanted. I enjoyed eating healthily and even tried to squeeze extra activity time throughout my day because I became so in love with the goal of getting fit. I also had great understanding and belief - I knew that even though I was not in the best shape, I could and would one day become fit. I remember thinking, each day, "I'm getting closer and closer to my goal." I also genuinely believed that I could be obese and still have the same frame of mind, the same positivity and same interest.
Why do these types of belief just go over the span of a few months? Where does the interest and desire go? I could understand perhaps losing the motivation... but the interest, the desire? Lol I can't even fathom losing the motivation when I think about how positive and motivated I was.
LOL thanks railroad dave.

Question #10: Research-Relations Topics- I need help choosing one please?
so basically i have to choose a research topic with enough depth to find information on. an it has to do with some type of well bieng or policy. like for example a dog's life span in relations to the type of dog food it eats. or do women make less wages than men still?(its true). or even as wierd as why is there a higher drowning rate when there is more ice cream consumption?(yes stupid but you would find, well obviously its hotter in the summer...so more people eat ice cream BUT also swim in the water so obviously there would be more drowning lol.
ok so my first topic idea(they have to be original)to some extent
1.- the % of people who are religious in a city/state in relation to the crime rate(is there some relationship between places with more religious people nad possibly a lesser or higher crime rate?
2.-the divorce rate in relation to class(wealth status) like rich versus poor/middle class etc.
3.life span in relation to fitness level through a persons lifetime(does working out too much maybe lead to ether lesser or even greater health later on) i might change this to maybe too much fitness?
4.-those who are educated(college, etc.) in relation to income level-i think this one might be kinda already done cus of course people with more education will usually make more $ lol
5.-those who are religious in relation to age of marriage( maybe those who are religious tend to get married at an earlier age)
so those were my top topics i narrowed down to. they have to be somehwat original to some extent(of course many of these have been done to a somehwat extent but) to have enough depth in research but be very itneresting and have relation to some type of well bieng. im not sure if some of my topics didnt have too much to do with well bieng? so let me know what you think, they just overall have to do with some type of well bieng or policy( im pretty sure ether or) because the gender wage gap doesnt have much to do with well bieng as it does policy ya know? Thank you for any help you can give and also of the topics i listen which would be the best one to do in terms of the assignment and also depth/interest or even possible topics you suggest i look into? Thank you!

Question #11: Lifetime fitness membership cancellation?
alright so if i cancel my membership within the first 14 days, do i get a full refund including the admin fee? i paid 0 enrollment fee but paid $99 admin fee and $70 monthly fee..... do you think lifetime will try to cheat me somehow?
Question #12: Am I too old to take up Thai Boxing?
I'm 23 years old and I am considering taking up Thai Boxing. I am quite fit as I jog regularly and do press ups every other day. I want to take up Thai Boxing to improve my strength/fitness and also to improve my confidence. I haven't really got intentions of becoming a professional fighter, but I am just wondering whether I'm too old to take up this sport. This is because I have thought that to become a proficient martial artist/fighter that an individual should start when they are a lot younger. Also if you think that 23 is not too old to start, what level do you think I could attain if I was serious and comitted to training. I would appreciate any relevant responses.
